PITELLI - MONTE SOGGIO - OLD CEMETERY - CAI 450 V - PITELLI

From the central crossroads of the town, Piazza 4 Novembre (confluence of the roads from Arcola, La Spezia, Lerici) you go up, near a fountain, along Via Oliveto. Once you reach the top of the hill called -Monte Sogglo-, near an ENEL cabin, you can enjoy an unusual and suggestive view of the Gulf of La Spezia, up to Portovenere, the Palmaria, Tino, Tinetto Islands. From here, a short downhill stretch leads near the ancient cemetery, where the connection with the CAI 450V path branches off. which, takes you back to Pitelli in Montiamoli.

BLUE RING

PITELLI - CAI 450 V - MONTIAMOLI - PITELLI

Following the CAI 450 path, which starts right from the center of the town (Piazza degli Orti - loc. Lavatoi), before the steps to Muggiano, you turn right going up towards the CAI 450V Pitelli - ruffino path, an ancient connecting road between Pitelli and the coastal settlement of San Bartolomeo di Cento Chiavi. Before returning, a few meters along this path to enjoy a pleasant panoramic point, well marked, with a view of the Gulf of La Spezia.

YELLOW RING

PITELLI - CAI 450 - MUGGIANO - CAI 451 - PITELLI

Descending from the CAI 450 path, which starts right from the town center (Piazza degli Orti- loc. Lavatoi), you walk along the wide staircase that the Pitelli workers used daily to reach the Muggiano shipyards. The return is planned from the CAI 451 path, slightly more impervious, which climbs into the woods, up to the loc. Maggiola. From here you can easily return to the historic center of Pitelli along the carriage road.

PURPLE RING

PITELLI LOC. MAGGIOLA - POZZUOLO - CAI 413 - PIN BON - CAI 450-451 - LOC. MAGGIOLA

From Maggiola, you descend along the CAI 453 path, reaching Pozzuolo from the path that the Pitellesi used to take, until not long ago, to reach the nearest beach, Baia Blu. You then follow a short stretch of road, slightly uphill, until the junction with the CAI 450 path that leads to a panoramic point with a view of the Gulf of Lerici (where the purple ring rejoins the orange ring) and then you return to Maggiola (CAI 451).

ORANGE RING

PITELLI P.ZZA ORTI - VIA BUOZZI - PAGANINI STAIRWAY - CAI 451 - PRESIDENT'S TOUR 8CAI 451V) - PITELLI

The ring begins in Piazza degli Orti, going up Via Buozzi; after passing the church of San Bartolomeo and the ancient oatory, you arrive at the so-called "Falconara stone", thrown here by the tragic explosion of the military fort of Falconara (above San Terenzo) in 1922. Going up the large staircase on the left you reach a panoramic point of great beauty, with a view of the Gulf of Lerici. From here, you go down along the CAI 451 path, which soon turns into a paved mule track, until the crossroads (on the right) from which you enter the town along the so-called "Giro del Presidente" (CAI 451V), due to the presence, in the past, of a villa that belonged to the president of the court.
